What does that have to do with a Gay Mardi Gras?

Well, first of all, we do oppose it.  Without question, we oppose it.

An event of this type certainly shouldn't take place at all, in any town or city.  But if it is going to take place, it MUST be confined to 18+ adult venues (such as night-clubs) only, and not take place in public areas. Outdoor events in Townsville must be G rated and family friendly!

That's why we do ask you to SIGN THE ONLINE PETITION.

We also ask you to consider something when putting your comments together.

Every sin is abhorrent in the eyes of God... and all of us have fallen short of God's standard, even you and I.  That's why I believe, as followers of Jesus Christ, we have NO RIGHT to judge any person, irrespective of how public the display of sinfulness may be.

We should absolutely speak out in opposition to the event, which is why we do ask you to join us in opposing the mardi gras.

But remember... Jesus gave his life for every person involved, because He loves them.  What right do we have to do differently?

And if the Mardi Gras still goes ahead, it may just present the Christian community in North Queensland with a rare and exciting opportunity to put that thought into action.
